The RPTC recognizes one graduating student from each school in Rancho Peñasquitos for their volunteering efforts that benefit their school and/or community through the Youth Community Service Award.
The recipients are honored each year at the Fiesta de los Peñasquitos during a ceremony on the Main Stage. An elected public official, such as a city council member, mayor or assemblyman, presents the award to each student at the Fiesta.
For our Elementary (5th Graders) and Middle School students (8th Graders), the exact qualifications and selection process for the Youth Community Service Award is specified by each school. In addition to being recognized for the community service efforts at the Fiesta, we honor them during their graduation/awards night with a small cash scholarship.
At the High School level (Seniors), we recognize these outstanding students with a $500 cash scholarship that a RPTC member would have the honor of presenting during the school’s Awards Night. The Town Council invites graduating high school seniors to apply for this scholarship directly, rather than through a school nomination process.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MARCH 15, 2019.
If you are senior from one of the local High Schools interested in applying directly, please fill out both forms on your submission below: the application and the photo release form.
